MCCS has partnered with Special Olympics Nippon Hiroshima to host a day of sports and cultural exchange for athletes with special needs. Due to privacy regulations, we won’t be verifying participants’ status, but the event is intended to celebrate and encourage these athletes. We are inviting the community to come cheer them on!

Participation
This event is open to all authorized patrons. Spectators are welcome to come cheer on the athletes, and volunteers are needed to participate alongside them.
Event Timeline
9 AM On-site Registration Opens
9:30 AM Opening Ceremony
10 AM - Noon Sports Activities (Soccer, Tennis, Disc Golf, or Bicycle Ride)
Noon - 1:30 PM Lunch Break (Crossroads Food Court) 
2-3:30 PM Bowling at Strike Zone Bowling Alley
3:30-4 PM Closing Ceremony at Strike Zone Bowling Alley

Event Highlights
  • Athletes and participants will engage in exciting sports activities held simultaneously in the morning.
  • During lunch, we encourage on-base participants to join the visiting Japanese athletes at the Food Court for a shared meal experience.
  • The afternoon continues with bowling, followed by a celebratory closing ceremony.
Payments
  • Participants are responsible for covering their own lunch and bowling costs.
